Nestoria goes live in India
Hello, Nestorindians,
As a result, we have gathered a substantial first-hand expertise of the Indian real estate market and we now see things in a different light. The Indian field-trips have also taught us a few valuable lessons.
We have now learnt that you shake hand with your right hand, we know that Indians never say no and that in Mumbai without a moped, a car, or a truck, you're nobody. Above all, we'd like to remind you all that if the menu says 'spicy food', in India it really means spicy. And even if the menu says the food is not spicy, the fact is that it will still be hot, hot, hot!Precisely because India is such a special place, we have worked very closely with our partners to get the product right from the start. Today, we are proud to announce that we are going live with three leading property portals in India: 99acres, iProperty and Makaan. We are honoured to have them on board and would like to thank them for their trust in us. We are determined to work very hard in order to justify their expectations.We expect that few more portals will join us soon. We know that property search market in both in India and worldwide can be a tough place. We know that job is challenging and, unlike some other players, we are here for the long-haul.
India is not just a vast and a humbling place, but the one that is evolving at an electrifying pace. There is still plenty of room for product improvement and we realize there is still much to learn about the Indian market. For that reason we are planning few more trips to India, with the sole aim to hearing from our partners about the things that we could do better.
The site has been up and running since December 2010, and the team worked very hard to iron out many kinks ahead of the hard launch. While the entire Nestoria team pitched in, special mention is due to Durga, Alex, Juan, Vuk and Ruben, all of whom have done an excellent job.
