Fellow Nestoraqis!
As you know here at Nestoria we do our best to stay on top geo related innovation – we allow anyone searching for their next home to get property listings in
KML and
GeoRSS. We love all things geo. Indeed, last year our team summer event was an outing to
the Prime Meridian, and our office is covered with maps. So today we’re happy to announce you can get your property listings in yet another geo related format: GPX, or GPS eXchange Format. GPX is a format commonly used to upload data to GPS devices. So, say you want to grab info about some houses, put it on your GPS and then head out to see them. Now you can.
For now the easiest way to do it is simply to change the URL of any Nestoria search results page, replacing the
www with
gpx. So for example, if you’re looking for a
flat in Birmingham, you would be on
http://www.nestoria.co.uk/birmingham/flat/sale
to get the GPX feed instead just point the browser of your choice to
http://gpx.nestoria.co.uk/birmingham/flat/sale
Learn more about
GPX on Wikipedia. Enjoy! We'll be adding a direct link to search result pages in the near future (we're hard at work on a few design changes).
BTW, you can use the same technique to get RSS and KML data or the OpenStreetMap version of Nestoria, just replace the www with rss, kml, or openstreetmap as the case may be. Learn more about our URL structure.
