Farewell to the John Snow

Yesterday was a sad day here at Nestoria. We bid farewell to our old office.

Our days near Oxford Circus were happy ones. The unbearable heat of summer, the joy of having the road tarred directly outside our window for about three weeks, the daily fire alarm tests, the hammering noise of the bathroom directly next to our office being redone, and finally the thrill of getting evicted because the tenant upstairs wanted to expand (we’re not bitter, really). Good times, good times.

But time marches forward, and just as we’ve expanded the focus of Nestoria to cover all of the UK, it was time for us to expand our office. We’ve found a delightful new home (properties to rent) in WC2. The building is quirky, the landlords are friendly, and there of plenty of good lunch places around.

Still, it’s with a note of regret that we leave behind our old local, the John Snow in search of something new. Besides being a great pub named after a brilliant user of maps, the John Snow was the site of this summer’s “line crossing game”, an event our summer interns will not soon forget (I think Ahmed still has the scars).

Which leads me to our question for you dear reader, can you recommend a good pub near Covent Garden to declare the new official Nestoria watering hole? Shall it be the Cross Keys, or the Lowlander, or the Freemason Arms, or perhaps something else all together?

As always, your feedback is very appreciated.
